My daughter decided she wanted to write a blog article. At first I was skeptical of whether I’d really be able to post it here, ya know on my business blog where I have professional advice and tips. But then I realized, a 12 year old’s perspective might be refreshing and helpful to us adults who tend to muddy up the waters. So here you go, why my daughter believes your business should be on Facebook.
“All small businesses should have a Facebook business page. There are multiple reasons why having one would improve your business. Statistics prove that on an average, a Facebook user spends at least 55 minutes online per day. The users will often look at their friends’ pictures, videos and likes. And if one of their friends likes your page, they might start to look and enjoy your page too. Then soon enough your page will start to revolve around everyone. This will get those people contacting you and wanting to do business with you.
Also if you just Google a company’s name, their Facebook will most likely come up in the search results. In America as of, December 31, 2009, there are 1,542,769,457 people world-wide on the internet. Your chances of having your page seen is quite large. The more people that see your page, the more business you will do, and the more money you’ll make. As a result, having a Facebook page would be beneficial to your small business.” -Gwyneth Koladish
And there you have it. A logical argument for having a Facebook business page straight from a 12 year old. Next week I’ll do a follow-up, and clarify the reasons why I’m personally for using social media for small businesses. In the meantime like my Facebook page to keep up-to-date with me KelliKoladishDesign.
