Hey guys, we’re taking this marketing minute on the road today, and that’s mostly just because, in my car is where I get all my good ideas. They never just happen when I’m at my desk.

And I don’t know, I kind of want to call you out a little bit today, And I’m wearing my Rootless t-shirt. (Thanks, Damien.) Um, but it seems to fit.

So I want to know, how vain are you?

Are you guilty of getting way too caught up in how many fans and followers you have on social media? Or how many people are on your email list?

Reality is there’s people out here buying fake fans, and buying fake followers, and paying for email lists. So those numbers, they can be deceiving. Someone out there with 500 fans might be making more sales than somebody with 5000. So don’t focus on the vanity numbers. (Just stop it.)

Care about your own engagement and your own sales.

And we’re gonna keep it short and sweet today, so that’s the marketing minute.
